Ai Is here to stay - Now it's time to put it to use.

I spent December looking back over 2024. What a year of change. BIG change. By November my brain was taxed to the limit on having to learn yet another new operating system and incorporate it into my workflow. Every 4-5 years we go through these big advancements and 2024 was one of the milestones for the millennium. Ai has entered and is now fully embedded in our every day.  

Why Ai?

Think about it. The world wide web ended up being just that. World wide.  As diverse, complicated, and vast as our planet. We have spent the past decade digitizing our human history and knowledge through borders, over mountains and across the seas, uploading data in TB’s by the milli-second. Navigating this ocean of data is now beyond our capabilities.  Ai had to happen. I dedicated daily hours in 2024 learning the art of prompting and building Ai into my daily workflow.

How does Ai help in marketing.

Start with my mantra. “ What do you want to say and who do you want to say it to?”

1. Messaging

This is a lot more challenging than you may think.  It’s one thing to state the problem it's another to state it in the language that your ideal client uses. Learn to prompt. Ai will even teach you if you ask.

2. Who

Building your personas. You need to know who you are talking to. Their challenges, hopes and desires, as well as where they live work and play. Restate the problem above, this time with the Ai personas and see how the messaging changes.

3. Content

Now it’s time to create the content. I’m not a fan of Ai created image content. Some works and others, meh! It all still looks like 1940’s poster art. It will get better. With cell phone cameras there is no reason a simple layman cannot create stunning imagery.  There are thousands of how to videos available.  

Where Ai shines is when you have “where” your ideal clients go to get their information Now, you have a viable platform for your business. Create for this platform. Content created  for Facebook is vastly different than Instagram and worlds away from YouTube shorts. Once you have your main platform you can alter content easily for the rest and get a better ROI from your content creation, which is by far the most time and resource heavy step of marketing

4. Post

I can’t tell you how many people are taken in by the lure of the power of social media marketing, the shear numbers you can reach, but fail to understand the amount of media you need to feed the stream. You will need at least 2 - 6 posts per week to work your way up the algorithm with organic posting (video is faster). With that much content the FREE just got very expensive. I prefer to pay for reach and nurture with organic posting. The business model ( how they make money)  for social media platforms is not so we can socialize, it’s paid advertising to a viable audience.  During the rise of social media it used to be easy to build a following.  Now, with all the platforms being saturated, it is difficult and you will need a TON of content to even register on the algorithms.  

Imagery is easy for me, but coming up with 12 headlines and captions for post used to take days of drudgery. Now it’s camera to post in an hour or two with Ai. People ask me if Ai is taking jobs. My biggest hire has always been writers and posting scheduled blocks of imagery have always burnt out even the best. But a good writer who prompts well is golden.  Ai will speed the process, but the better you are at the process the better the result.

 

5. Analyze

The beauty of online marketing is its real time data. Don’t get me wrong, this does not mean instant success, clicks, or purchases. Viral is not necessarily a viable goal. Digital marketing takes time. Ai helps immensely in sorting out what is working, what progress is being made, and what KPI’s you need to focus on. Again, real marketing takes time. Time to build an audience, more time for the 30 light touches to get noticed, and even more for a solid 12 click throughs to purchase. With BWCI’s digital marketing no one is going to click “buy now” on a social ad or even my website. What I have found is, by the time I ask for a sit down they already know who I am and what I do, which makes closing the deal that much easier.

2024 The year of change has come and gone.

Now in 2025 it’s time to take all these new tools we have and put them to work. I have a new computer system coming soon, some people buy new cars I buy computers and camera gear. It was time to up the speed and efficiency of my content production. I feel the need to keep up with the new speed and agility that Ai has brought to Digital Marketing. It’s going to be quite a ride this year. The ability to move, pivot, and produce, easily will be my plan to deal with all the uncertainty we will be facing in the upcoming year.
